Research Compliance Officer
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
I am the Research Compliance Officer at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and head of the Research Compliance Office. I oversee the research security, research integrity, export control and conflict of interest programs at Berkeley Lab. I also serve as the Research Integrity Officer for the lab.
Prior to joining Berkeley Lab in , I was a professional scientific editor for more than fifteen years. In I joined Springer Nature as a manuscript editor at Nature Materials, and later served as the Executive Editor of Nature Communications. I was appointed Editor-in-Chief of PLOS ONE in and PLOS’ Editorial Director in . My scientific background is in physics and I have a PhD from Imperial College London.
